White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Steps Down

One of President Trump’s longest-serving advisors, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, says she will be stepping down.

She acted as one of the president’s fiercest defenders during her two year tenure.

Being the main mouthpiece for the administration has often times been controversial.

But Sanders says she has no regrets and was honored to have had the job.

Sanders ended the tradition of holding daily White House press briefings. The last briefing was more than 90 days ago.

Thursday President Trump spoke warmly about Sanders, calling her a warrior.

Sanders, a mother of three, says she is leaving to focus on her kids.

She also says she has not ruled out a run for governor in her home state of Arkansas.

Sanders is set to leave the White House at the end of June.
