High Water Levels: What to Look Out for on the Water

With the recent wet weather and high lake levels, the state is warning boaters to be vigilant.

What to look out for on the water: the DNR says these high water levels can lead to flooding, deep water and strong currents.

That can mean more debris floating in the water and under the surface.

It creates difficult conditions for steering a boat or swimming.

The high water levels can also change or cut off access routes between different bodies of water.
