Mt. Pleasant MSP Post: Retired Trooper Mike White Leaves Lasting Legacy

A beloved, Northern Michigan state police trooper passed away over the weekend.

Former trooper Mike White passed away over the weekend due to health complications.

Trooper White was very giving and involved with the community.

He had a passion for church where he was a minister.

White was also involved at Shepherd Schools, and Central Michigan University athletics.

Fellow troopers say he was always someone who lit up a room and full of energy.

They even joked about this sign they had to put up when they had interviews going on so Mike knew to be quiet.

The Mount Pleasant post commander says White’s legacy will live on through schools and the communities he touched.

“It’s one thing to be in law enforcement to go out there and what we say to go after the bad guys. Mike’s legacy will be the improvement of our schools of our young generation trying to make sure that education, making good choices,” says Lt. Larry Schloegl, post commander MSP Mt. Pleasant.
