Arizona Mountain Fire Shows No Sign of Slowing Down

Planes are taking to the sky to fight a fire in the Arizona Mountains that has exploded to more than 6,000 acres.

It’s being called the mountain fire, and according to Tonto National Forest Officials, there was still zero containment of the fire as of Friday night.

The weather hasn’t been helpful. Fire crews expect the winds to calm once the sun sets Saturday.

People who are currently in the area are being allowed to leave and are being escorted. The fire lines both sides of a main road in and out of the area.

Lines of vehicles with RV’s and boats left last night.

People hoping to spend the weekend at the lake were turned away.
