MSP Trooper Pulls Toddler from Oncoming Traffic

A state police dash cam was rolling as a toddler ran into the path of a dump-truck. The video shows the trooper likely saving the 2-year-old girl’s life.

It happened in Alcona County Friday.

State police say Sergeant Richard from the Alpena post noticed the girl while on patrol.

As he approached her, she turned and went back into the road.

Sergeant Richards quickly grabbed her just in time.

The dump-truck locked its brakes to avoid the child.

The child’s mother said she had last track of her daughter just seconds before.

The child was returned to her mother unhurt.
