Former MSU Dean On Trial, Facing Charges of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct

The trial for a former Michigan State dean who was in charge of Larry Nassar is now underway.

William Strampel is accused of sexually harassing female students.

He is facing charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct, misconduct and willful neglect of duty.

His attorney says he may have had tough and vulgar conversations but never solicited anyone.

Critics also say Strampel failed to make sure Nassar followed patient restrictions which were ordered in 2014.

Hundreds of women say Nassar assaulted them when he was a doctor at MSU and for USA gymnastics.
