Blue Cross Blue Shield: National Family Health and Fitness Day

Keeping your family healthy and active can be difficult in this age of technology but our friend, Grace Derocha, RD, CDE, had a few ideas to get everybody outside and moving.

This Saturday is National Family Health and Fitness Day.

A recent study showed that kids who play outdoors, feel the wind, and walk on the grass with bare feet end up being happier and healthier adults.

It is important to be a good example to younger generations and ‘be a kid’ again by playing outside and encouraging kids to do the same.
