Kalkaska Co. Truck-Motorcycle Crash Kills 1, Injures Another

The Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office says a motorcyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck that didn’t stop at a stop sign.

Deputies say the crash happened Sunday around 3:15 on West Bear Lake Road and County Road 612.

They say the pickup truck crossed into the path of Todd David from Kalkaska, killing him.

The pickup truck then rolled, throwing the front passenger from the truck.

She is expected to survive.

The sheriff’s office says distracted driving and speed are factors in the crash.

Right now the prosecutor’s office is looking into the crash.
