Quicken Loans & Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert Hospitalized

Detroit business mogul and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert, is recovering after suffering symptoms of a stroke.

Officials with Detroit-based Quicken Loans said in a statement that Gilbert was admitted to a hospital in Royal Oak early yesterday with “stroke-like symptoms.”

However they say he’s currently recovering comfortably.

His hospitalization comes just days before he’s set to speak at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Mackinac Policy Conference on Mackinac Island.

It’s not clear yet if he’s still planning to attend the event.

It also comes just days after he launched a ballot drive committee to push auto insurance reform in Michigan.

A landmark reform bill passed both chambers of the state legislature on Friday.
