Tornadoes, Flooding in Central U.S. Contribute to Dangerous Conditions

Crews are now working around the clock to clean up the aftermath of more than two dozen tornadoes before the next batch of storms roll in.

Tuesday, the central United States saw 30 confirmed tornadoes with the worst of the storms bearing down on Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas.

Hundreds of water rescues were performed by rescue crews as heavy rain caused flash flooding.

And with more rain expected, the national weather service is telling many residents to head to higher ground.

Action plans are being put in place to make sure water levels recede before the heavy rainfall continues later in the week.
