With so many apps available these days, it can seem impossible to weed through them to find something new.

Luckily, I love browsing through the App Store seeking out new apps to help make life easier.

In this week’s Tech Tuesday, we’re taking a look at four fun apps we love right now.

If you struggle to understand and keep up with what our lawmakers are working on, the Countable app is for you.

The app makes it easy to understand the laws Congress is considering. The app offers clear summaries of upcoming and active legislation. The summaries answer key questions like who will be impacted, how much it would cost, and the arguments for and against it. After learning about a bill, you can directly contact your lawmakers to voice how you think they should vote by clicking “Yea” or “Nay” in the app.

When your representative votes on a piece of legislation, the app will send you a notification so you can check how they voted and whether the legislation passes.

I love to explore in the woods around my house, but I hate coming across a plant or animal I am unable to identify. Luckily, the Seek app does the identifying for me!

Seek by iNaturalist uses the power of image recognition technology to identify the plants and animals around you.

Simply open the app and point the Seek Camera at living things. The camera will identify the wildlife and plants around you and provide additional information so you can learn some fun facts about the organisms around you.

The app doesn’t collect any user data and no registration is involved, making this a fun and safe app for all.

Looking to make an awesome website, but don’t know where to start? The Universe app is the easiest way to make a website in less than a minute. Start by choosing a custom domain. Next, build your site, then share it with the world, all from your phone.

The free app allows anyone to create a personal or business website quickly and easily.

Speechify is a text-to-speech app that uses artificial intelligence and deep learning to offer high quality, natural sounding voices.

Speechify was designed to help people with dyslexia, ADHD, second language learners and productivity enthusiast. Simply upload a PDF, import a website link, copy text into the app or share a file from Google Drive or Dropbox and the app will speak the document to you.

You can even take pictures of any book and the Speechify app will read it to you like an audiobook.

You can listen to up to 900 words per minute, and the app can translate text into more than 50 languages.
