Chippewa Hills School District Breaks Ground on New Elementary School

It’s been in the works for more than four years, but Tuesday morning the Chippewa Hills School District officially broke ground on a new elementary school in Barryton.

Thanks to a bond proposal passing in 2015, the district has renovated other district buildings, but the biggest piece of the project was saved for last: a brand new elementary school set right behind the current school.

Superintendent Bob Grover says it is a great time to finally show the community their vote of confidence is paying off.

The new school will create a better learning experience for their students.

The new school is scheduled to be done in time for the first day of school in the fall of 2020.
