MSP: Man Swallowed Baggie of Cocaine During Traffic Stop

State police say a man swallowed a baggie of cocaine after they stopped him for an equipment violation in Roscommon County.

Troopers stopped Paul Wagner in Richfield Township last Sunday.

When talking to Wagner, they noticed a baggie that looked to contain cocaine.

When they asked to see it, troopers say Wagner started to swallow it.

State police tried to stop him, but Wagner resisted and revved the car’s engine trying to get it into gear.

That’s when they tasered him to arrest him.

Wagner did end up swallowing the drugs.

Hospital staff recovered three small baggies that were passed by Wagner.

Field tests did show the baggies contained cocaine.

Wagner is charged with having cocaine and resisting and obstructing.
