New Measles Case Confirmed in St. Clair County

New measles cases in Michigan are popping up, this time in St. Clair County.

The Department of Health and Human Services says the St. Clair County case brings the state total to 44 measles cases this year.

The state says this case involves someone from out of the country visiting Michigan.

The DHHS is now warning that a Costco in Roseville and a church in Sterling Heights might be exposure locations.

Until now, most of the cases were in the Detroit area.

Health officials recommend you vaccinate yourself and family from measles to stop its spread.

Right now, the number of cases in Michigan is the highest since 1991 when it reached 65.
