CMU Shooting Suspect to Stay in Mental Hospital

We have an update on the investigation into last year’s deadly shooting on Central Michigan University’s campus.

James Davis Jr. is accused of shooting and killing his parents on campus in March 2018.

Davis Jr. went through a mental hearing Wednesday.

The Isabella County prosecutor tells us Davis Jr. will stay in a mental hospital as they still consider him at-risk.

The prosecutor says another hearing will be in about a year.

In January, Davis Jr. pleaded not guilty in the case by reason of insanity.
