City of Cadillac Postpones Meeting to Consider New Conditions in Cadillac Junction Development

The city of Cadillac is postponing a meeting that could green light plans for the Cadillac Junction.

Tuesday we told you that Haring and Clam Lake townships came to an agreement on a settlement proposed by Cadillac.

The three have been in a dispute for years over the property on the corner of U.S. 131 and M-55, east of Cadillac.

Essentially each wants a fair say in what happens with the development.

Developers built a gas station and convenience store there, but had to stop other projects because of the dispute.

Cadillac says both townships are adding last minute conditions that have not yet been discussed.

The townships and Cadillac are scheduled to update a judge on the status of the case Friday.

But a meeting in Cadillac to discuss the settlement has now been canceled so Cadillac can consider the townships’ new conditions.
