Mental Hearing Schedule for Accused CMU Shooter James Davis Jr.

The former Central Michigan University student accused of shooting and killing his parents on campus is going through a mental hearing Wednesday.

James Davis Jr. was originally found unfit to stand trial weeks after the March 2018 shooting.

He was later found competent to stand trial in October 2018.

The agreement says he will be sent to the Michigan Center for Forensic Psychiatry for up to 60 days.

Wednesday’s hearing will determine if he needs to be there indefinitely, or go back through the court process.
