Healthy Living: Gutsy Girls

Everyone needs a little encouragement in their lives, but did you know that young girl’s confidence is directly correlated to the level of encouragement that they receive.

Researchers have revealed that by age six, girls already start believing that boys are smarter.

Self-doubt is known to effect decision making in school, career, and study.

Best-selling author, Caroline Paul said that by putting an end to over-coddling that girls are likely to be gutsier.

Paul says that it is never too late or too early to start raising a gutsier girl and a good way to start is by practicing what she calls micro-bravery.

For children, this can be as simple as raising her hand in class or even as an adult to go to an event alone.
