9&10 News Honors Best of the Class for 2019

It was our annual best of the class celebration.

Each year 9&10 News honors the top graduating seniors from across northern Michigan.

They and their families were invited to Crystal Mountain for a special celebration Wednesday.

9 and 10’s David Lyden served as emcee and shared his story of graduating from Fairview High School and coming to 9&10 News.

Each senior was presented with a certificate and medal to honor their achievements.

“I just really appreciate how everyone has helped me out with classes and helped me out getting to school before I could drive and all my teachers always staying after to help me if I had questions or anything,” said Bellaire Valedictorian Alexa Strand.

“It feels good, I’ve wanted to be valedictorian since I can remember, going into 7th grade, going up to the big school, it was one of my goals from the beginning so it feels really validating,” said Beal City Valedictorian Dexter Lynch.

Mercantile Bank sponsored this year’s best of the class celebration.
