Saudi Arabia: 2 Oil Tankers Damaged in ‘Sabotage Attack’

Saudi Arabia’s energy minister says two Saudi oil tankers were significantly damaged in a “sabotage attack” off the United Arab Emirates coast.

It happened near Fujairah.

Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih says the tankers were loaded with crude oil for the U.S.

No oil spill or were casualties reported. But the Associated Press quotes Khalid Al-Falih saying there was “significant damage to the structures of the two vessels.”

The UAE has not said how the tankers were attacked or if there were any suspects.
