WikiLeaks Creator Swedish Rape Case Re-Opened

Swedish prosecutors are re-opening a rape investigation against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Sweden’s deputy director of public prosecutions announced early this morning that Assange has not yet been formally notified of the accusation.

It was a Swedish sexual assault case that prompted Assange to seek asylum in an Ecuadorian embassy in 2012.

WikiLeaks has accused Swedish prosecutors of giving in to “intense political pressure.”

Right now it is unclear if Sweden can indict Assange while he is out of the country.
