Sentencing for Otsego Man Convicted of Murder Delayed

The sentencing has been pushed back for an Otsego man who killed a man last year.

Joseph Zoran was set to be sentenced Wednesday for second-degree murder, which could land him life in prison.

Instead his sentencing has been pushed back to June 5.

Last month, Zoran admitted to second-degree murder for killing Robert Counterman.

In March of last year, hunters found Counterman’s body in a garbage bag in Gratiot County.

Evidence led investigators to Zoran’s trailer in Otsego County, where deputies believe Zoran killed Counterman.

Zoran is also a registered sex offender.
