Department of Justice Threatens to Assert Executive Privilege Over Mueller Report

The White House is now threatening to assert executive privilege over the Mueller report.

The Department of Justice told House Democrats that they were considering the move.

This comes after the House Judiciary Committee threatened to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress.

The chairman of the committee scheduled the vote after the DOJ refused to hand over an unredacted Mueller report, despite a Congressional subpoena.

Democratic aides say the White House could be using executive privilege to keep them from getting documents or interviewing key people.
