Out of the Darkness: A Walk for Suicide Prevention in Traverse City

For Janeen Wardie, death by suicide is a personal topic.

But it’s also what she and her husband are working to fight as field advocates for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. And the Traverse City area is getting involved in a special way.

This September, Northern Michigan is invited to join in on the second ASFP Out of the Darkness Community Walk at the Open Space in Traverse City.

Team Captain Night on May 15 is a great day to register, pick up yard signs and a free gift. It will be at right Brain Brewery in Traverse City.

Learn more about the Wardie’s story and the Out of The Darkness Community Walk 2019 from the video above. Or visit the walk’s website to register or donate here.
