Drivers Needed to Inform Kids at Career Vehicle Event in Traverse City

Fire trucks, construction rigs, police cars and more.

Northwest Michigan Works! is helping spark youth’s interest in out-of-the-box careers.

Drivers and elementary-aged kids are getting excited for upcoming expos this week in Traverse City.

Kids will get to speak with drivers about their rides at Northwest Michigan Works! Career Vehicle Event.

Shelly Vandermeulen says the kids enjoy the experience.

“They’ve seen them on the street…but now they get to see them in a whole different way,” Vandermeulen says.

And drivers willing to take their vehicles to these events are needed. Call Shelly VanderMeulen at 649-0195 to sign up.

One Career Vehicle Event is at Traverse Heights Elementary this Friday.

The other includes a pancake breakfast for parents and kids at Traverse City Christian on Saturday.
