Wellness for the Family: Better Sleep Month Tips

Do you hit snooze over and over, or find yourself yawning throughout the day?

Registered Dietitian Grace Derocha, with Blue Cross Blue Shield, has a few tips for Better Sleep Month on how you can catch up on some Z’s.

“About 50 to 70 million adults have a sleep disorder and we are not getting enough sleep,” Derocha says.

  • Set a good alarm
  • Get rid of screens at least an hour before bed time
  • Cut out caffeine in the evening
  • Lavender (tea, oils, plants)
  • Cherries
  • Sleep masks
  • Warm milk
  • Exercise
