Grant Me Hope: Aliya

Aliya is a sporty and artsy 13-year-old who loves dogs and people.

She loves to write poetry about her life story and is ready to find a forever family that will protect and love her.

Aliya likes to play soccer and run, especially with a four-legged partner.

“A couple summers ago I used to run five miles every day. I used to run with my dog. What makes me happy is my dog, and I love my dog so much. Her name is Flo. I miss my dog,” said Aliya.

Aliya is a people person.

“I like people, because most of them are confident. And people that can just wake up in the morning and call themselves pretty, I like the confidence that they have,” explained Aliya.

Aliya wants to work as a midwife when she grows up.

“I want to be a midwife. I just like babies. They are so adorable. I would like to be able to help give birth to babies. You get to hold them, so that’s a great part,” said Aliya.

Aliya likes writing and is very spiritual.

“I like to write about God. I am very spiritual. I have been through a lot, so I am trying to overcome it right now. I just have to be strong so I can help other people when I grow up,” said Aliya.

Aliya is looking for a forever family to adopt her.

“What I am really looking forward to in a family would be a mom and a dad. A loving and caring home that is safe and that will protect me. I just need them to help me get through what I am going through and I just need a safe and providing home, and someone that will love me and care about me and will be there for me when I’m crying. I am ready for my future,” explained Aliya.

Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
