Kentucky Derby Watch Party in Traverse City to Benefit Goodwill of Northern Michigan
“That’s going to provide a whole lot of good quality nutritious food for our friends who need it.”
One Northern Michigan charity is hoping you’ll hoof it over to their fundraiser this Saturday.
Goodwill of Northern Michigan is hosting their fourth Kentucky Derby Watch Party to help stirrup funds for their food rescue program.
The fundraiser will take place at the Corner Loft in Traverse City this Saturday.
They will have a raffle, prizes for best dressed, and food and drinks from the Boathouse Restaurant.
They have a limited number of tickets left, and each ticket sold will provide 400 pounds of food to pantries in the five county region.
“We have about half a million people in our region that receive support from the pantries each year. So that’s a huge amount of need so every fundraiser makes a difference. It helps us provide support to our neighbors,” said Julie Povolo, director of advancement for Goodwill Northern Michigan.
