Emmet County Wood Mill Destroyed by Fire Gets Federal Money to Rebuild

We have an update on an Emmet County wood factory that was destroyed by a fire in August 2017.

It is now getting federal money to rebuild.

The Manthei Veneer wood mill was destroyed by the fire.

The mill had been open for 75 years.

Now, thanks to the largest USDA loan ever given in Michigan, the wood mill will be able to rebuild.

Manthei Veneer is getting more than $1 million through a loan program.

No one was hurt by the fire and it was not investigated as suspicious.
