The Dennos Museum Center Joins Access Program for Low-Income Families

From exhibits to events, local museums have a lot to offer the community.

But for people who struggle to put food on the table, paying to get into an exhibit isn’t usually a priority.

The Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City has decided families shouldn’t have to choose between their entrance fee and other life responsibilities.

They have joined Museums for All, an access program for low-income families.  The Dennos Museum is waiving the $4 to $6 entrance fee for up to four people when presented with a food assistance SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer card.

More than 250 museums across the country are partnered with Museums for All and offer similar free or reduced admission opportunities.
