Michigan State Police are teaming up with a local organization to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The Oasis Family Resource Center in Cadillac and the Michigan state police Cadillac post have been collecting new and gently used purses throughout April.
They have stocked the purses with items like socks, soaps, lotions and toothbrushes to help victims in need.
MSP will be at the Cadillac Walmart collecting purse donations from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
They’re also accepting donations of items to put in the purses and food for the oasis shelter’s pantry.
