Former Kingsley Principal Accused of Sex Crimes Refuses Plea Deal, Goes to Trial

A former Kingsley Principal accused of sexually assaulting students did not take a plea deal.

It means Karl Hartman will go to trial.

Hartman faces six charges, including first degree sex crimes and a possible life sentence if convicted.

Some of the alleged incidents happened more than 30 years ago, including one when he was a first grade teacher.
