Finnegan Invitational Basketball Tournament Ramps Up Traverse City

Three days and 30 games means spectators will have tons of opportunities to enjoy high-level basketball from the stands—instead of a T.V.

Players and spectators are excited for this weekend, when the fifth annual Finnegan Invitational Basketball Tournament moves to Traverse City’s St. Francis High School for the first time.

Organizer Sean Finnegan says this year’s players are loaded with talent. 2019 has a full bracket of 16  semi-professional basketball teams, five of which are from out of state.

And all of the proceeds are going to support the youth basketball programs at St. Francis.

The indoor basketball tournament also awards cash prizes to the top three teams.
