Mesick Schools Faces Bus Driver Shortage
A northern Michigan school district is dealing with a shortage of bus drivers and it’s starting to feel the impact.
Mesick Schools recently sent a letter home to parents saying they are short three bus drivers.
They recently started requiring all custodians to get their bus driving license and say that’s helped.
But the district says the shortage will still impact transportation as the school year winds down.
The school says they may have to start dropping students off earlier for athletic events so busses can get back to the school for regular bus routes.
The shortage may also impact pick up and drop off times for students on school days.
