Cadillac Area Silent Observer Brings Back Most Wanted List

A successful effort returning to help catch the area’s most wanted criminals.

“It’s a tool we can put back in the toolbox,” explains Lt. Travis House, the public information officer with the 7th District Michigan State Police.

The Cadillac Area Silent Observer is an organization made up of local law enforcement and community volunteers. They support the Wexford, Missaukee and Osceola counties.

Their goal is to help police solve crimes and catch criminals.

Several years ago, the Silent Observer released a list every month in the newspaper of those who were wanted for various crimes.

Lt. House says the list was very successful but because the group is volunteer based, they weren’t able to keep it running…until now.

“There are several contributors, several agencies that make up the Silent Observer group and each agency can contribute a fugitive or two to that list each month. Unfortunately does not, that’s not an all-inclusive list of wanted people in our area, it just tends to be people who we’ve had trouble finding or in some cases people who need to be located very quickly because of the nature of the crime,” says Lt. House.

Here is April’s top 10 list.
