Petoskey’s Harbor Hall Eyes Next Door Lot for Expansion to Serve Women

A Petoskey substance abuse facility has its eyes on expansion and helping women in recovery.

Harbor Hall Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services wants to turn a rundown building next door into a healing facility for women.

They bought the adjacent property with hopes to expand their facility.

They presented early plans to the Petoskey planning commission Thursday night that include putting up a joint apartment complex and treatment facility that would be women only.

Harbor Hall currently only serves men.

“Bringing women residential treatment to Petoskey, it’s been a long time dream of the organization,” said Patrick McGinn, Harbor Hall CEO. “We’ve been doing it for men for almost 45 years now, we’d like to offer the same kind of treatment for women as well.”

Harbor Hall will present more designs and building plans to the planning commission in the months to come.
