French Investigators Believe Electrical Short Circuit to be Cause of Notre Dame Cathedral Fire

French investigators believe they’ve figured out what caused the devastating fire at the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.

Police say they believe an electrical short-circuit sparked the flame.

The 850 year old structure was undergoing renovations when it caught fire on Monday.

It burned for nine hours destroying large parts of the cathedral.

Investigators have already interviewed at least 40 employees of the company who were working on Notre Dame at the time.

The prosecutor’s office says it still believes the fire was an accident.

But they have not ruled out other causes.
