Dogs Fergie & Richie Ready for New Adventure with a Loving Owner
Fergie and Richie are as sweet as they come and looking for a new family to smother with their dual affection.
At 12 years young, these obedient gals have a lot to offer in their senior years.
The Humane Society of Midland County says don’t let their age fool you. They are in good health, playful, great with fetch, and good with other cats and dogs.
Fergie is a shepherd mix and Richie is a blue heeler cattle dog mix.
The HSoMC says their new family won’t have to pay an adoption fee. These dogs are also sponsored.
And whoever is lucky enough to take them home will be taking both. Fergie and Richie lived as siblings before their loving owner could no longer care for them, and don’t want to be separated.
Anyone interested in meeting them and possibly taking them home should fill out an online adoption form here.
HSoMC also says they require potential adoptees to bring current household dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet.
And if these two dogs captured your heart, but you can’t take them home, there are other ways to help out at the humane society. Like donating household goods, working electronics, working car/truck/van, lawn mower, toys, furniture, sporting goods, tools and more to HSoMC’s auction.

Plus the Mid-Michigan Pet Expo will be April 28 at the Fairgrounds in Midland from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is a free admission, family-friendly event with food trucks, dog demos, a puppy kissing booth and adoptable pets!
