Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Votes to Legalize Recreational Marijuana
Another tribe in Northern Michigan has taken a step toward legalizing recreational marijuana on their reservation.
Sault Ste. Marie tribe of Chippewa Indians chairman Aaron Payment posted online saying the tribal board voted to legalize Tuesday night.
Adding that the new rule will not take effect for at least a month.
The decision comes just one week after the Bay Mills Indian Community became the first tribe in the state to legalize recreational marijuana.
