MTM On The Road: Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City

Northwestern Michigan College’s Great Lakes Culinary Institute in Traverse City is busy preparing the next great chefs.

Although the spring semester is almost over, there’s still a chance for you to see and taste what the culinary students have been cooking up at their teaching restaurant, Lobdell’s.

Lobdell’s is open Tuesday’s through Thursday’s for lunch.

On June 18, Cafe Lobdell’s will be open serving baked goods and cafe drinks.

Also, culinary students are getting ready to celebrate Michigan Wine Month in May with a Michigan Wine Great Lakes Culinary Challenge! The students are tasked to create a wine and small plate pairing that will be judged by attendees and chefs.

The grand prize is a $1,000 scholarship.

Wake up with Regan Blissett and Stephanie Adkins as they see how they are preparing these next great chefs!
