Andrew Wheeler to be Sworn in as Environmental Protection Agency Administrator

The Environmental Protection Agency will officially have a new leader Tuesday.

Andrew Wheeler will be sworn in as EPA administrator Tuesday afternoon.

Wheeler, a former lobbyist for the coal industry, has been serving as the EPA’s acting administrator since last summer.

He replaced Scott Pruitt, who stepped down from the position because of ethical controversies.

One of the most controversial issues Wheeler will likely face is the debate over climate change.

Wheeler says he doesn’t reject climate change, but he says it isn’t the most urgent crisis the White House is facing.
