Howard City Man Taken to Grand Rapids Hospital After Crash

State police say weather played a role in a Montcalm County crash that sent a teen and a Howard City man to the hospital Monday.

Troopers say the crash happened just before 6 a.m. on U.S. 131 near exit 120 in Reynolds Township.

They say the man was out of his car, helping a family member who slid off the road.

That’s when another car, driven by the teen, lost control, and hit the man and car.

State police say the teen is expected to survive.

The Howard City man had to be flown to Grand Rapids to be treated for serious injuries.
