Fresh Cut Melon Products Recalled Over Salmonella Concerns

Almost 100 people from 15 states including Michigan have gotten sick in a salmonella outbreak.

Pre-cut melon sold at Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, Walmart, Trader Joe’s and other stores has been voluntarily recalled due to the possibility of salmonella contamination.

The recall included watermelon, honeydew melon and cantaloupe.

The recalled melon was sold in clear plastic clamshell containers and sold under different brands.
