Join the fight against cancer and participate in the 2019 Wheatlake Festival of Races on Saturday, May 18, 2019!
This family-friendly event will be held on the Big Rapids Riverwalk and the White Pine Trail.
The event headquarters will be located at the Bandshell behind Big Rapids Middle School, 500 N. Warren Ave., Big Rapids.
Race proceeds will benefit the Wheatlake Cancer and Wellness Fund, helping patients at the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center. The Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center is a comprehensive regional treatment facility bringing together the full range of services for patients and families on their cancer journey. The cancer center features a Wellness Center, which includes a library, boutique, gift shop and an integrative therapy room. Patients can borrow educational materials from the center and also receive massages and integrative therapy services. The center hosts support groups and educational sessions to assist patients on the road to recovery. For more information on services offered, contact the Wellness Center at 231.832.8486. Volunteers are also an important addition to the services provided at the center.
