4 Fugitives From Northern Michigan Arrested in Arkansas

Police arrested four Northern Michigan fugitives more than a thousand miles away in Arkansas.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says Michigan State Police contacted them about helping them arrest Kaleob Stewart and Courtney Shiflett.

Deputies say they were wanted on multiple charges, including battery on a police officer.

They arrested the two at a home in a rural part of the county.

There, deputies also found and arrested two other Northern Michigan natives who had outstanding felony warrants: Michael Martin and Nicole Mahar.

The group will now await extradition hearings before being brought back to Northern Michigan to face charges.
