Michael Cohen Not Likely to get Delayed Prison Sentence

President Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, likely will not get a delayed prison sentence.

Right now Cohen is facing three years behind bars after he admitted to financial crimes, campaign finance violations and lying to Congress.

His attorneys recently told lawmakers they had access to new records.

Those could provide more information for investigators looking into possible crimes committed by President Trump.

Cohen’s attorneys were hoping providing that information could get their client a delayed sentence.

But Monday, House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff said he wasn’t interested in any new information from Cohen.

Cohen is scheduled to report to prison on May 6.
