Tons of great productions are taking the stage through the Interlochen Arts Academy Theatre Co.

One opens this weekend and it’s totally free.

It’s a Pulitzer Prize nominated play set in the 1930s and based on a true story that took place in the 1800s.

Director Christine Marie Brown says it’s about rumors and lies.

“It is about a student at an all-girls private boarding school who tells a lie about their two teachers that destroys their lives,” Brown says.

The “Children’s Hour” may be close to a century old, but the themes carry over through time.

The cast is taking the stage on April 12 at 7:30 p.m.
