Interlochen Arts Academy Theatre Co: ‘The Children’s Hour’

Tons of great productions are taking the stage through the Interlochen Arts Academy Theatre Co.

One opens this weekend and it’s totally free.

Eva Wong and Olivia Weiss are two student actors in “The Children’s Hour.”

It’s a Pulitzer Prize nominated play set in the 1930s and based on a true story that took place in the 1800s.

Director Christine Marie Brown says it’s about rumors and lies.

“It is about a student at an all-girls private boarding school who tells a lie about their two teachers that destroys their lives,” Brown says.

The “Children’s Hour” may be close to a century old, but the themes carry over through time.

The cast is taking the stage on April 12 at 7:30 p.m.

Free tickets may be reserved by calling the box office at 800.681.5920.
