American Tourist Kidnapped in Uganda Found Unharmed

An American tourist and her tour guide who were abducted in Uganda are safe this morning.

Kimberly Endicott and her tour guide were rescued Sunday.

Five days after an armed gang kidnapped them at gunpoint in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The kidnappers were demanding a $500,000 ransom, which intelligence officials refused to pay.

A portion of the ransom was eventually paid to free Endicott and the tour guide.

They were found unharmed, across Uganda’s border in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
