Iron Fish Distillery Mixes Up a ‘Sugar Shack’ for Maple Syrup Season

Spring means maple syrup is flowing in Northern Michigan.

And it’s also adding some amazing flavor to local whiskey.

A mixologist from Iron Fish Distillery in Thompsonville shows us how to make a cocktail you won’t soon forget called the Sugar Shack.

Sugar Shack

  • 2 ounces Iron Fish Bourbon finished in Maple Syrup Barrels
  • .25 ounce Iron Fish Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
  • .5 ounce Lime Juice
  • 2 ounces Ginger Beer
  • Lime Wheel

Pour bourbon, maple syrup and lime juice into a cocktail mixing glass.

Add ice, shake and strain into fresh ice rocks glass.

Top with ginger beer and garnish with lime wedge.
