Chocolate or Vanilla? You might not have a say if you go to the Park Place Hotel on April 7th.

That’s because there will be over 30 chocolatiers for the Traverse City Chocolate Festival.

They are celebrating their 10th year and hosting the event at the Park Place Hotel and Convention Center on Sunday, April 7th.

Barbara Disborough, A.K.A The Chocolate Lady, says, “I bring in chocolate from around the state and the region and people come from around the state and the region to taste, buy and smell chocolate.”

This event offers workshops for kids and will be showcasing industry trends and some of the finest chocolate around.

Kim Fish with The Cheese Lady will be offering chocolate and cheese pairings, a pairing that tastes way better than it sounds.

“Cheese isn’t just for appetizers or a meal you can also have it for desert and you can take something that is super savory and salty and put it with something sweet and get a fun treat,” says Kim Fish.

Chocolatier Anne Boulley will be showing off her decorating and sculpting skills, proving chocolate is just as fun to play with as it is to eat.

Anne can shape and mold chocolate into something as simple as a bird’s nest and as elaborate as wrenches, gears and bolts.
